Here is a quote that explains why my "visit every Five Guys location" plan has failed. It is from the Minot, North Dakota, Daily News:
"Minot is a great business town," said Mort Bank, owner, Bismarck. "This will be our fourth Five Guys."
Minot, the 4th largest city in the 48th largest state, is about to get a fourth Five Guys.
I just can't keep up.

Oldest Five Guys Closes
I stopped by my local Five Guys last Sunday, only to find this:
This was was store #2, the oldest one (out of a current 1,154) in operation. The original closed years ago, and now sadly this one is out. This makes Store #3, in Springfield at 6541 Backlick Road, the oldest Five Guys. So, go visit. Feel the history.
The explanation given by the company is: "In the last 22 years we have honed in on the design and function of our restaurants and have been making an effort to update our older locations. Unfortunately, adequate renovations are not feasible in the existing location. We are committed to opening another location within the Skyline, Bailey's Crossroads, Seven Corners area and are appreciative of all of the customers who have walked through these doors."
As the poster says, the company is running a memorial page for the closed Skyline store, here: http://www.fiveguys.com/contact-us/skyline.aspx

This is late. Blogging is Hard. Five Guys in London.
This is old news, but let me just get in on the record: Five Guys will be opening their first UK store this summer, in Covenant Garden. They plan a full UK expansion to follow up, with more stores.
They are currently all over Canada now; the UK will be their 3rd country of operation.
Blogging is hard.

Huge news about smaller fries
From the Five Guys Facebook page:
"You wanted it! You got it! Five Guys is now offering a “Little Fry.” Regular and Large sizes are still available as well."
I will go try these out and report back.
